    I think the strategy that you have laid out is a perfect first step. The next step is starting to execute this plan. I am kind of in the same boat family, kids, house, mortgage, student loans etc. I have ambitions of growing my blog into more avenues but the bills wont stop. Just get some buy in from the family, share your dreams with them and have the understanding that your free time will be reduced as you work towards something greater and that will ultimately make you happy.

    Hello Bill, I sometimes feel the same way. I am going to be 40 this month and have a BS in Sociology and an MBA and I feel stuck. I also was told that I had good thoughts and a great communicator. Why not start a blog? I recently have done this. It gives me something to work towards while continuing my work for my employer. I have only made peanuts at this point but I feel I am laying the foundation to build something great that many will gain benefit from. Keep your head up.
