Hi Helcat, it was not an abusive partner it was my son, her brother! In hindsight it didn’t help although I thought I was helping at the time. There have been other instances throughout the years, many many instances, but I was not aware of generational trauma until she mentioned it.

I’m realizing how traumatic the situation was for her living with her brother. I now recognize that I have generational trauma that I am trying to overcome. I feel so bad about how she was treated, but I don’t know how to fix it…
