LiveSimpleParticipantMatt,
After reading your response, it was like a lightbulb went off. Thank you!
LiveSimpleParticipantBrad,
I agree with you, “Ultimately, I think its important to realize that while the relationship wasnt everything you wanted its a part of your life. Acknowledge that and try to move on.” I have learned a valuable lesson from this relationship and even more about myself. Thank you for the advice.

LiveSimpleParticipantI agree with you that a true friend does not put you down, maipulate, use, or disrespect you. Did you tell him that his comment upset you? In my opinion, if you find this friendship emotionally draining then it isn’t worth it.
On the other hand, sometimes we can take things the wrong way. I’m saying this because I have done it before. If I were you-and if this friendship meant a lot to me, I would discuss exactly how I’m feeling and then see how he feels and what he has to say.

LiveSimpleParticipantThank you very much Matt, Cindy, and Anaya. After getting my thoughts together, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve been feeling this way because I am unhappy in my current relationship with my boyfriend and sometimes struggle with telling him how I feel. It is long distance which makes it even more difficult.
