    Hi Jon,

    You have really put a lot of thought into this and have a good understanding of how your actions are impacting the relationship.  I am not sure I can add much, but for me, the quickest way to stop acting childish or resentful is to be grateful.  I have a gratitude journal that I write in everyday.  The practice helps me to be grateful in the moment, so when I am with someone, rather than worrying about if it will last or what is going wrong, I am able to enjoy it more.  Anyway, that has helped me.  Wish you the best of luck.

    We share the same name and the same feeling of missing something.  Just feels like life is simply a bunch of activities that don’t really add up to anything.

    I have been feeling better as of late.  I started a new project, one that I have been thinking about for a long time, and have become somewhat involved in it.  Perhaps you have something that has been lurking in the back of your mind that you want to do; volunteer, meet new people, create something?  For me it was building a website, for you it may be building a birdhouse, I don’t know.  The important thing, in my view, is to try something new.  If you like it, keep doing it.  If not, try something else.
