I callously ended things with my first love, who I was going to marry, a few years ago; I feel like I’ll never get over it. Why have I never contacted him to tell him my feelings? Because I feel like I must accept the fact that I made a mistake; that’s the honorable thing to do. I hurt him and now I don’t deserve him.
