Thank-you too for sharing your similar, personal accounts of being in this type of situation, from both sides of the equation. It is heart wrenching. You want to believe in the absolute best of the person you’ve committed your heart and soul to, but equally when you’re that emotionally committed, it’s just crushing that they can behave in that way to you, and not commit to do whatever is in their power to try and stop hurting you so badly.

It’s so hard to keep loving someone with all your trust and integrity when you’re no longer sure that person values that that is what you’ve been giving them.
