Dear Shirley, Earth Angel:

I understand the logic behind community college (OCC, in your area), getting your intro courses out of the way for lesser cost. I also understand living at home to lessen the cost. I still like the idea of you living away from home. Monetary cost is just one consideration; your well being is always more important than monetary considerations.

I like it that you get a head start on accomplishing tasks and not procrastinating. Also adjusting to different teachers’ testing styles.

* what do you mean by “sometimes the classmates are a bit too dramatic.”? Dramatic how?

Yes, I remember writing to you that most people don’t realize they have an inner bully and most people aren’t as confident as they seem. I am glad you are observing and seeing it is so (ap biology classmates). You wrote: “my friends told me she thought “i was the most confident person she knew.” Exactly my point: when you observe others and think they are so very confident, like you, they don’t necessarily feel confident while they appear confident. And so, you are not alone. Actually, most people lack confidence at any age.

You wrote: “i’m not really all that confident as my friend says, it depends on the environment”- probably true for everyone who appears confident at any one time!

I very much like it that you are focusing on your accomplishments and good qualities when you feel a bit down. Good job, Shirley- I am impressed and encouraged. I have a very good feeling about your ongoing progress!
