Apparently I have been looking at this from the wrong point of view. When I look at it from that angle he used me for more than a place to stay. Not rent free as he was generous in that way, but there were other perks to be sure. So he wasn’t the person I thought and was just using me till he was ready to move on to the next one. He clearly set up his next place to go before moving on.

Why is it so hard to think badly of someone who you loved and trusted? And how to trust my own judgment again since I truly believed him to be a good man when clearly he wasn’t if he was using me?
