Dear Quizzical:
Lots of people favorite pet diagnosis (or better say, favorite name calling) is Narcissist. If and when your work colleague tells other colleagues that you are (an alleged) narcissist, they probably heard her in the past calling other people narcissists (her family members, friends, neighbors, etc.), and so, they figure perhaps that it is only time before she calls them narcissists as well!
