Thanks for your response, I cried a bit reading it because yes, I was criticized and treated harshly as a child. I do isolate myself from people and I wonder if I simply self sabotaged my friendships. My loneliness is  probably well deserved after making such a bad first impression I find it’s not easy to make another new friend group of my peers in college.
