I am specifically interested in exploring ‘digital wellbeing,’ meaning our relationship with technology and if it is empowering (contributing to purpose, focus and thriving) or disempowering (creating dependency, anxiety, depression, loneliness etc.).
My personal belief is that establishing a healthy relationship with tech is a key factor to flourishing in our world and am curious how others might approach it and what unique personal experiences they may have in the process.
Specific questions might be: what is your daily relationship with your phone and tech (ie., do you sleep w phone, do you check in morning asap, how many hours of screen time daily, do you try to practice any self-regulation, do you use it in an intentional way that helps you realize goals or find yourself losing hours scrolling), do you feel shame around some of your usage, do you use wearables, do you know anyone who struggles with digital addiction issues like online shopping, gambling, gaming etc or even simple productivity and focus? I’m also curious if people have wellbeing practices that my somehow balance out or mitigate their tech dependencies.
Any insights greatly appreciated and really believe this is an important conversation to have! 🙂 David
