Yesterday I practiced not trying to control the thoughts and when the thoughts of the past and the broken promises and failure came, I closed my eyes and just kept saying over and over “Don’t try to control them, let them come”. I cried, and then I cried some more but afterwards I felt relief, and I go up and went on. Certainly this is going to take more practice, and more time but I think that The Ruminant offered some very sound advice, and I am going to continue to apply it and pray that one day the memories and the silence isn’t so painful.
