I think that your ex was searching for excuses to not be committed to you. Men who do not want to be with one person act like that. Do not think that it is your “fault.” If a guy is really into you he will be with you regardless you text him back in 1 minute or 1 hour. You wanted him to chase as most women do. In my opinion even if you texted him immediately, told him you loved him he would have made some other excuse.
