I feel your pain. Some people run away if they think you might have problems or are needy. Of course everyone has issues and everyone has needs, but at the beginning of a relationship most people need to ease into that level of personal sharing. You were just trying to show him your vulnerable, human self but he may have interpreted it as neediness and seeing that part of you may have been too abrupt for him.  It’s possible that he has issues of his own since he kept making plans and then bailing on you. Maybe he’s shy or hiding some other issue that he has. Or as harsh as it sounds, maybe he just wasn’t that into you. I’m sure it’s for the best that you parted ways because you deserve someone attentive who feels the same way about you. At any rate it sounds like you learned something. And there are plenty more fish in the sea!
