    Hi I am new here and have tried anxiety/depression forums (my situation) but I find them negative (understandably) when I want to get my life back on track. So far I have been exercising, learning a language, going back to church (which I gave loved)and have now decided to join a choir as my doctor does not want me to return to work yet as my self esteem is wrapped up in work. This place seems really positive, would appreciate some feedback /encouragement. I am also doing some volunteering. Stilk struggling to love myself though but getting better.

    Good luck on your recovery! Have you heard of metta meditation? Metta is a warm feeling of friendship arising in the chest, and helping it grow can really bring a lot of peacefulness to our mind. Consider checking out “Sharon Salzburg guided metta meditation” on YouTube if interested. It can be surprising just how different everything looks when our inner light is burning bright.
