How does one forget the trauma of being abandoned and cheated on…? Forget it, how? Hmmm… You mean make it stop hurting, right? I mean you can’t forget the memory of it. How to make it stop hurting? When your foot cramps, you know that pain? I used to panic and twist my foot this way or that way to make the pain stop- but it didn’t. Nowadays I do something weird: I don’t do anything, I don’t move my foot at all. I just let the pain do its thing, move through the foot and surprisingly the pain does not last as long as it did when I fought it. So, how do you make it stop hurting? Maybe stop wanting it to stop hurting, let it be. Breathe in. Breathe out. Feel the pain. Let it be. That way it may pass quicker than otherwise.
