    Me and my boyfriend are from different castes and different languages. His parents agreed for the marriage. But my parents are strictly telling no as they could not do intercaste marriage as their relations will no longer talk with them. They are afraid of the society and my well being in a different caste. I don’t knw how to make them accept. Even both the families could not communicate because of the language problem.

    Dear Poorni:

    Do you know of any woman in your situation who was able to make her parents accept a relation?

    If there is such a case, I wonder what that woman did and maybe you can do the same. But if there is no such case, maybe it is impossible to resolve this, other than you and your boyfriend moving to another part of the country or the world.

    You don’t consider doing that, do you, moving with your boyfriend to another part of the world?
