Anxiety seems to dominate my interaction with others.
Anxiety seems to be a dominant part of my social upbringing, making me an introvert and a socio-phobe.
Also I seem to be highly wired and edgy and my mood swings are hard to control.
This leads me sometimes to be irritable and biased in my opinions.
How can I make myself more inclusive and accommodating and how can I be more balanced in my outlook.
Also how can I translate the feeling of butterflies in my stomach into something positive instead of becoming a victim. (almost masochistic figuratively).
    Please advise.

    Hi Sanjay K

Anxiety is a big topic and there is no magic cure. Being an introvert is not a condition. It is who you are and there are many successful and happy introverts in this world.

Can I suggest that if you are spiritually inclined, you have a look at the youtube videos by BK Shivani. She does lectures in English as well as her native language. Her discourses provide a simple and practical solution to all life’s issues or dilemmas. You will love her.

    Best wishes

    Sanjay K,
I agree with Jasmine-3 about being introverted. Check out Susan Cain’s book, “Quiet: The Power of Introverts.” Plus she has a great TED talk about it too.

I also agree with Jasmine-3 about anxiety being a big topic and issue.

There are several strategies and practices that would help anyone to live a more peaceful and balanced life.

I do think that having a daily (or twice daily) meditation practice does help quiet the mind and helps you get out of your head/thinking. I encourage you to do that. I encourage you to do mini-meditations whenever you find yourself anxious during the day.

Regular exercise has scientifically proven useful as well. Even a 5-10 minute walk helps.

Breathing, deep diaphragm, belly breathing helps with anxiety and finding our center.

The key is incorporating such practices as a regular part of your daily routine.

    Good luck.
