I think I’m on the verge of breaking up with my boyfriend’s parent is in the hospital fighting for her life and his family is causing some serious drama. He is strung out defending his parent and needs support very badly. I am putting myself aside to be there for him helping him like a good gf, but in my heart I think we are not a good match. I am burnt out and dont know if I can keep it together for long. Is it bad of me to play along and ignore my feelings for now? Or is it worse to put more emotional trauma on him at this very stressful (indefinite length) time?

I would say give ur self sometime on thinking whether ur a good match or not. But at this moment since ur his gf he needs you most..please dont ditch somebody because they are in a bad situation. I donot think it is the right time for judgement. Please be with him as his strength and support. Just an advice rest is in ur hands.

We have fought on and off for a long time now and I was alwaying the one begging for forgiveness and running back to him. He is controlling to a point I almost feel like he emotional abused me whenever we dont see eye to eye, convince me that I am wrong always in the wrong. I am being patient at the moment, I am thinking through it and just being there for him any way I can, but I am afraid I will mess up or break before things ever become appropriate for us to sit down and talk about us.

@T I’m going to agree with anonymous. Maybe wait. You’re all stressed out and now’s not a good time for big changes, especially for you BF who is going through a lot. Maybe just put yourself in his shoes. It’s not a nice thing to go through. Maybe stick it out a little longer not as a girlfriend but as his friend? Would that help?

But hey, if you’ve really reached that point where you can’t handle him anymore, then go. It’s your life. 😉
