A Little Light for Dark Days—Pay What You Can
If these words were written on paper, you’d be reading them through tear stains. Life has been just that hard lately—since the fall of last year.
So if you found your way here because everything has felt like too much in recent days, same! I get it.
I’ve been dealing with so much mentally and emotionally that it's felt like I've been carrying around an invisible grand piano on my back for months. And sometimes my kids jump on top of it. Metaphorically, of course, though this sounds like something they’d do.
A Tiny Bit About Me
Who am I? You might be wondering. I’m the founder of Tiny Buddha—a human being, just like you, who goes back and forth between feeling okay (sometimes even amazing) and absolutely terrified about the chaos and uncertainty in life.
That’s the thing about pain—it comes and goes, just like happiness. There’s no way around it, no matter how much we learn or grow.
And sometimes it feels like almost everything is going wrong—when your bills are piling up while your relationship feels broken or your life has become one debilitating physical symptom after another.
Over the years, I’ve written and published many posts with tips to help us get through all these challenges, and more (some including things that helped me when I was healing from bulimia, depression, and PTSD many years back).
But during my recent struggles, I wanted more than ideas to cope. I wanted breaks from having to cope.
I wanted to set that piano down, even if just for a few minutes, and see if a little levity might make it feel less heavy when I picked it back up again.
The Birth of an Email Series
So I decided to create tiny pockets of laughter and light for 21 days—and write about my experiences to share with all of you.
Each day’s email shares my honest reflections and insights along with simple things that helped me breathe easier at the start of my recent challenges (plus several related workbooks). I’m still doing many of these same things, months after I finished writing the series, because they really did help.
They didn’t make my problems go away, but they enabled me to feel a little more grounded and less overwhelmed and powerless in the midst of it all.
All because they helped me find or create a little light in the darkness—something that’s often really hard to do.
Part of that light was hoping maybe my experience could somehow help you.
So here it is—When Life Sucks: 21 Days of Laughs and Light. Yours for whatever you can afford to pay. Though the suggested payment is $19, no amount is too low, not even $1.
I hope this brings you a little comfort and hope as you navigate whatever you’re going through. And I hope a season of greater lightness is just down the road for you.
A couple quick testimonials if you’re curious to hear from readers who’ve finished the series:
"I delighted in my short daily read and your lovely, fun writing style. Your tips and tools were so simple and easy, yet things I never ever thought of to bring some fun, ease, and joy to my days, especially otherwise dreary ones. Your little videos gave me a good laugh or giggles, and truth be told, some took me down a rabbit hole of Google or scrolling laughter. I just LOVED that! Your download sheets in most emails were an additional tool that went over and above. I used the worksheets and have them to go back to. I really had no idea 21 days of a two- to three-minute read could be so joyous!" ~Linda R.
"This was a wonderful series. I very much enjoyed it! I knew each email would always be worth my time, so it was nice to see it there and made me look forward to the moment when I could read it. The length of time spent to read each one was very reasonable, and it was more meaningful having real life examples of how the tips can work instead of just a list. The other gems were the tools that were provided. They seemed like bonuses but were really amazingly useful and enjoyable to look over and think about. The whole thing somehow gave me permission to seek and bask in little bits of joy, no matter how serious or heavy the situation is. I’m always worried I might not be taking things seriously enough, but the truth is it’s the hard times when you really can feel how big of a difference it makes to have these little reminders and insights." ~Callie E.
If any of this spoke to you, I hope you'll enter your info below and find your own little bits of joy to bask in. And if at any point, life feels too heavy to keep up with the series, know the emails will be there whenever you need them. Choose your own price and get started today.
