Hello everyone,
i’m trying to look for a solution for one of my problems that’s a foundation for other problems i have.
the past year i’ve been trying to be more positive, trying to make my life better. So i read positive quotes everyday, work with affirmations, read books, articles etc (louise hay, tiny buddha, spirituality, insta’s inspirational accounts, HSP, thousands of articles on google etc etc). This lead me to feel “lighter” about life and see struggles as life lessons etc, i already feel more confident and understand myself better.
But now here is the problem. In my head and in my behavior you can notice the change. for example: i’m less harsh on myself and tell myself to relax, everything will be alright. So i give myself enough space, do things the way i want it. But something in me is still the judgmental me that thinks I should be more strict for myself. As if something in my subconscious?? maybe doesn’t believe in all the positive things i’ve been reading about and where i really believe in. This results in a lot of stress and anxiety, which then results in eczema that bothers me in te most extreme way. I’m a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) so that probably has to do with all this too.
So I really want my body and soul to be more align with my mind. My mind knows what it wants but the rest won’t follow. Maybe one of you has some tips or knows books or articles about this. I really want to fix it!!!!
Thank you and greets & love

You wrote: “But something in me is still the judgmental me that thinks I should be more strict for myself. As if something in my subconscious??” I think it is your “inner critic”. There are probably articles on the Home page here on the Inner Critic. Otherwise you can google it, read, and if you’d like, come back to this thread and let me know if the “inner critic” concept is meaningful to you and if it is relevant to your thread.
