Hello,
Recently I graduated college and I was able to secure a job right away. I make a good amount of money, but to be quite honest I hate it. Monday through Friday feels like a nightmare. I talked to my boss about taking a vacation, but he blew me off. I have been searching for a new job, but the job market in my area is not so hot. I do not want to consider quitting, until I have another option. I feel like I landed a really good gig, but I am just not happy. I do not feel as through I am pursuing my passions or accomplishing anything. The job I have is very physical and I end the day exhausted and thinking that there has to be more to life. If I really had the energy I would want to write or blog, but in my current state I do not feel as though I have anything interesting to say. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do or how I could possibly make my work weeks more bearable? I truly appreciate anyone who has taken the time to read this.

Going through something similar I came across the concept of job crafting. This is something where you see how you can pursue your passions or get a sense of accomplishment from the existing job itself. As an example, a person who is passionate about teaching but not in a teaching job can utilize his teaching skills at whatever position he is in to impart education to who he is in contact with during the course of his job.
Identify and define your passions and see how you can apply them in your current position. Clarity and a written description of your passions should help you in that.
Hope this helps
Take care

You wrote that the job is “very physical”. Does it mean that it helps you keep in good physical shape? That may be an advantage, a benefit if you need that practice. (If it is possible that you may get physically injured doing the job, that needs to be another consideration).
It pays well, you hate it, it feels like a nightmare, you asked for a vacation and was denied, you are looking for another job and you don’t want to leave this job before you have another. You are doing all that is possible unless you move to another area of the country or the world where the job market in your field is significantly better, if such a place exists. If moving in not an option, the only suggestion I have for you, one I practiced myself, is to learn the skill of enduring suffering.
Sort of relaxing into it, taking a deep breath and accepting how badly it feels. No longer yearning for a way out, but accepting what you feel and that you will continue to feel this way for a while.
There is great benefit in developing this (odd sounding, perhaps) skill, of not only surviving this kind of suffering, but enduring it with peace, with equanimity, continuing to function well even though you hate it. It will be useful because there is plenty more of this to come, in any job, in any relationship, and as a parent, if you choose to be one.
There is confidence and well being gained with this practice, knowing that you can endure, that you can function well no matter how you feel.
