    Hi Lilac

It is very difficult to shrug off comments that people make and especially from people that are close to you. As long as you believe that what you are studying is fulfilling to you and that you believe you can make a difference from it then you need to stick to your guns. Although most of us search for acceptance from our choices and want to get recognition and when we receive unkind and de-motivating comments we tend to wonder and doubt our choices but as long as what you believe is right and you really enjoy what you doing and it gives you purpose then who cares what other people think. nobody can live your life but you and as long as you are comfortable and happy then that is all that matters.

    Warm Regards

Interesting and very relevant topic to discuss Jess.

I believe that in finding your inner light lays down the foundation in finding your purpose in life because if your cant find yourself within yourself then you cant really find your purpose. Some people like myself are very sensitive to surrounding energies and thus affects emotional well-being. i like to surround myself with positivity and like to be in a neutral place when i need to think. I find it really hard to find my inner light when we are living in such a fast-paced and demanding society. maybe someone could give some tips in how to make time for reflection and meditation.

    Hi Kate

I understand what you going through, I too have experienced many cases of anxiety and feeling alone. When I was young I was brought up in a traditional house hold and told that I have to get a good education to get a good job and earn lots of money etc. but as I got older I started realizing that there is a lot more to life than just fitting in to society. So my whole perception on life has changed and I know now there is a greater purpose in life. I started analyzing everything that I did and tried to find meaning in everything, but most of the time I would find nothing. And so my anxiety started, I never really felt like I fitted into a group and could never really connect with my friends as they do not think the same way I do, they are happy living in their bubbles where I am not. I have also found myself becoming more frustrated with things and I lose my cool for almost nothing, some days I have a clear mind but most days my head is like a thunder storm.

I can sense that you are a deep thinker like me and that you analyze everything, there is nothing wrong with that, the fact that you have become introverted is a sign that you have become self aware and that you are starting to see the greater picture and yes that is a lot to take in and yes it is normal to feel anxious and discontent, your mind is going through changes and realizations. We are affected by our surroundings and people around us, we are different and there is nothing wrong with that, don’t be so hard on yourself you are unique and special, don’t take that thought away. My advice to you is you need to find a place that makes you feel happy and go there as much as you can this will help bring on feel-good emotions. Next step is go to a place that has unfamiliar surroundings (so you can’t get distracted) take a pen and paper and right down the first thing that comes to mind, fear, hate, anxiety, financial, study related, whatever it is and take a few minutes and ask yourself can it be solved or is it out of your control? If it is out of your control then move on to the next thought by telling yourself that it is out of your control it will help you stop trying to solve something you can’t and that could help alleviate some anxiety. If it is however within your control don’t try and solve it that instant rather give yourself a timeline to solve it and move on to the next thought. If you find yourself getting caught up on negative thoughts look around you and focus on something in the area, for instance if you see a white wall tell yourself the wall is white, the mind cannot focus on more than one thing and so distracting you from the other thoughts. This has helped me and it might do the same for you.

Just remember, you are special and unique and be glad being who you are and being different from the rest of the people, and find places that make you feel good and go there often, once you start feeling more good than bad the rest will start falling into place.

    Warm Regards

Hi Secret, it sound to me like you are in a comfort zone and that is why you are reluctant to leave, that and fear of the unknown, the problem with being in a comfort zone is that you can become stagnant and that leads to lack of ambition and interest. Sometimes you need to break from that comfort zone and venture out into the unknown, let your fear guide you and that will motivate you. Don’t think with your head think with your emotions, don’t think what is right feel what it right.

I really appreciate those words Tamara, it helps a lot when you know you that i am not the only one in the struggle and it is a struggle. It’s not an easy task ahead of us and especially that the majority do not think like us and so like you put it, we are judged and sometimes frowned on, it’s like swimming against the tide. When people like us are emotionally in-tuned we are vulnerable to outside influence and attack. I think to search for ones purpose is not the right words and mindset, it should be a quest or a journey. Once you actively stop searching it will come. It takes practice to master your emotions most of the time I find myself fighting my emotions and hiding them as I am still afraid of the judgement of others and being so few of us. By hearing yours and the others stories I feel I finally have people I can connect with and that gives me hope and I hope it brings you hope too.

    With my warmest regards

Thank you Price, Tamara, Nicole, PryingMiMi and Megan Your messages are close to my Heart and have helped me realize more about myself. Like all of you I have struggled to “fit in” and have always felt different and somewhat alone. Like you PryingMiMi i have not really been “girl crazy” as I have yet to find a girl that I can connect with.Reading your comments helps me realize that I am not alone and there are others who think like me. We are all trying to pursue our goal and find our purpose and with this we are overlooking what is happening now and not living for the moment. I am always trying to prepare myself for the future so I forget the now. We can’t change what happened in the past or worry over the future but we can change how we think and act today, embrace it and surround our selfs with things that make us feel good whether it be physical or psychological. I have also started to realize that the quest for your purpose is not looking for it but knowing that you are on the right path which will eventually lead you to your truth and we all can be lucky that we think the way we do as most people will live their life in an ignorant bubble and not find their true purpose and with that because of the way we think believe it or not we are already on the right path.

I agree with you Alexey, maybe one day I can do the same. At the moment my mind is spent I need to break away from my current bonds.

You are right Lucia life is a journey, you also need to surround yourself with the right people to enhance your way of life. My problem is that my family and friends do not think or feel the way I do and so journey is so far a lonely one. I really need to find more people who are like me.

Hi Kristy, the best advice I can give is to let your emotions guide you and not your logical mind, a lot of emotional thoughts are often conflicted with logic and the idea is to break the chains of your logical mind that are hold you down. I know that can be really hard to do, I know i’m also trying to do the same.

All my years I have felt different, I felt that i didn’t fit in to society. And now I know that I am although it hasn’t made it easier for me and I have become increasingly frustrated. I fear the route that mankind is taking is a route to destruction, I fear we are forgetting or have forgotten our roots. At the moment we are just another cog in this machine called society. And this machine is destroying everything in its path. Money has become our leader. We are neglecting our connection with nature and the bonds that once guided us. I am afraid to pursue my purpose as I fear the disapprover’s.
