I’ve had many sessions with energy workers and I’ve cherished every one. I went originally for chronic fatigue and injury but it’s quite amazing how every condition you have, no matter how randomly you found yourself with it, has some old emotion stuck to it. Clearing emotions and crystallized emotions (and physical things like reducing viral counts if applicable, improving breathing, controlling adrenal surges, etc.) can have profound effects on your state of mind.

I would note that you have to do the work. It’s your energy body that agrees to shift and allows someone to show you a new pattern of being. And you can’t expect that free light healthy feeling to stick forever if you don’t muscle your negative thinking out the door. (Energy work on children works better than on adults for these reasons).

I know very well the frustration of dealing with the consequences of child abuse. I have found it helpful to try to develop another awareness…get some distance from my personality and look at myself with fondness and understanding and look at my younger self with a protective feeling. Right now I’m looking out my window at a family of wild turkeys in my backyard. There are 4 small babies who are happily pecking at crickets and the millet that the birds don’t like and have ejected from the bird feeder. The two adults are preening themselves and then snapping to attention to look for predators, of which there are many around here. We need to be like the turkeys. We need to look after ourselves but protect others (and our younger and traumatized selves). We need to feel carefree sometimes and just tend to the basics of life. We need to feel safe and make others feel safe. We need community but we need to be good community members. And we need to make peace with the fact that there will always be black hawks circling above and crafty foxes in the world and none of us gets out without first suffering and experiencing loss. Of course, that’s not the sad bit. The tragedy is that some of us don’t get out without first experiencing a lightness of being, the joy of having good food and a healthy body, of having enough of the basics met that we can go on a spiritual journey.

I suspect you’re awesome and the right people will eventually come into your life to help you fully realize this!
