Try to meet in him person and let him know that he can trust you. Don’t pressure him, but listen to what he has to say. If he needs more time, let him know you’ll be there.
But consider how long you want to wait. If you want a relationship and he cannot provide for you as much as you provide for him… consider taking care of yourself and removing yourself from the situation. Be a present support system, but also consider other options. You deserve love and support too!
