    When I was growing up people always commented on how beautiful my mom and sis were. I didn’t mind it too much up until high school when my mom told me I should wear makeup and my first love cheated on me with someone who was in my opinion really beautiful. Every time I would see my grandma she would comment how pretty I am. At the time I thought she was blind or just being a grandmother. One day I found pictures of her when she was younger and she was really beautiful. I’m not just saying that because she was my grandmother either. She told me growing up she didn’t believe she was beautiful and everyone was called pretty but her. She said she missed out on a lot in life because she didn’t feel good enough. On that day I realized that all that mattered was what I thought of myself because if I listened to the world I would feel like crap.I thank her because she is the reason why I love myself flaws and all. She recently passes away and I just play memories over and over in my head and I realize now that she did that to make me feel better and she did to me what no one did for her. To me that was something I wont forget about her she always knew what to say when I needed it even when I didn’t know. Not saying being beautiful is the end all and I hope this doesn’t come off shallow but that was something nice someone did for me.

    @lily ann

    basically I isolated myself from the world it first started with me questioning life with the death of my grandma. I have become a minimalist also. I had fears of death also and felt if I stayed in and I died I could increase my chance of getting into heaven. I also felt ugly and didn’t want to appear until I felt worthy enough but I have learned to love myself but everytime I step out I undo all my progress.

    Wow that’s amazing. I have never for once thought about that. I will have to look into that because ever since I can remember I could always read people well and never thought twice of it. Thank you so much!!!!
