    Dear Ellie,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on positivity.   A great idea to write down something positive from each day!

Since you mentioned you are “searching for things that will make small changes that will have a big impact on my life”, here are some thoughts on attracting positive things.  I hope some are useful for you.

    1) I’ve found that getting to bed by 9pm really helps.  “The day starts at night.”  If you get to bed early, it’s so much easier to be positive if you’re well-rested.

    2) Alcohol may make the lonliness go away, at least temporarily, but it’s not your friend.  Since I decided to stop drinking everything in life got easier; working out, sleeping, patience at work, novel writing, etc.  I drank for many years, and I’m not judging.  But everything in my life is so much better now without it.   Try 3 weeks without and see what happens, and how you feel.

    3) Future Gratitude LOA: Set two daily reminders (phone, computer, post-it note) AM reminder: picture yourself at the end of the day being happy for (insert your day here), a good drive to work, a productive and pleasant workday, a good drive home, and a pleasant evening.  PM reminder: Fill your heart with gratitude and really feel it while being thankful that you had a good drive to work, a pleasant and productive workday, etc.  You really have to see these things.  As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, if you don’t do this, then you’re leaving everything on the “default setting”, which isn’t that great.  By specifying what you want, you get it.  Instead of experiencing “Cause and Effect,” you’re now actively “Causing an Effect,” his words.

It’s taken me ten years to get to this point.  Progress continues!  Good luck!
