My name is Ellie and I recently decided to get more into the Law of Attraction. It is very hard to change habits so I have been searching for things that will make small changes that will have a big impact on my life. I think I found my first challenge today. Here’s how. I started today a slightly hungover, tired and generally down. A guy rang my bell to pick up the parcel that I arranged to be sent today. I live on the second floor and the entrance to my flat is a little bit complicated so I had to explain that to him. We agreed that I will just throw the parcels from the window and he will catch them which ended up with a lot of laughs because although they are light packages, I am really bad at throwing things so it went down badly and looked like I was trying to kill him (I really was not). Him, my partner (who witnessed it) and I ended up laughing a lot and suddenly I felt positive, energetic and happy. Which made me realise, I might never see him ever again but he impacted my life in a positive way even if it is to a very small extent. Therefore, I decided that everyday I will try and write about a positive encounter. Whether it is someone I see everyday or someone that I have knows for minutes and might never see again. It will all add up, and I believe the more I stop and notice the small positive encounters in my life, the more I will attract. Feel free to look back and share with my a positive encounter that you have had.

    Dear Ellie:

You asked for shares about positive encounters readers have. I have none to share with you but I don’t want your thread to be ignored. I wouldn’t like it if a thread I started would be ignored, especially if all others have been answered. Maybe other members who believe in the law of attraction will share their experiences with you.

It reads like a good practice, to notice the small positive interactions with people.

    Dear Ellie,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on positivity.   A great idea to write down something positive from each day!

Since you mentioned you are “searching for things that will make small changes that will have a big impact on my life”, here are some thoughts on attracting positive things.  I hope some are useful for you.

    1) I’ve found that getting to bed by 9pm really helps.  “The day starts at night.”  If you get to bed early, it’s so much easier to be positive if you’re well-rested.

    2) Alcohol may make the lonliness go away, at least temporarily, but it’s not your friend.  Since I decided to stop drinking everything in life got easier; working out, sleeping, patience at work, novel writing, etc.  I drank for many years, and I’m not judging.  But everything in my life is so much better now without it.   Try 3 weeks without and see what happens, and how you feel.

    3) Future Gratitude LOA: Set two daily reminders (phone, computer, post-it note) AM reminder: picture yourself at the end of the day being happy for (insert your day here), a good drive to work, a productive and pleasant workday, a good drive home, and a pleasant evening.  PM reminder: Fill your heart with gratitude and really feel it while being thankful that you had a good drive to work, a pleasant and productive workday, etc.  You really have to see these things.  As Dr. Joe Dispenza says, if you don’t do this, then you’re leaving everything on the “default setting”, which isn’t that great.  By specifying what you want, you get it.  Instead of experiencing “Cause and Effect,” you’re now actively “Causing an Effect,” his words.

It’s taken me ten years to get to this point.  Progress continues!  Good luck!
