Dear Shirley:
From a previous post, I am bringing up the questions I didn’t ask about yet and will do it later:
1. What are the best techniques to use including a map and compass when out in nature so you don’t get lost?
2. What is the best communication device to have on you if you need to call for help?
3. What are some good techniques to use to signal for distress or okay? What is the simplest shelter to build?
Will do that later, in the next few days.
In your last post you wrote: “… the power of influential thinking such as if you tell a child at a young age that he has say been ice-skating before and he/she truly believes it (even though they never have), could it be possible that when they go for their first time that they would do well?” It may work somewhat, or not. But it would be a lie. Lies work sometimes, to an extent, but there is a price to pay when the child finds out he was lied to and then the trust is gone. I would not lie to a child (or to an adult). I wouldn’t consider it. To help a child gain confidence, I would apply honesty.
As far as killing animals for food, I would like to make this comment: food has to be killed first, and life deprived, when we eat, and that includes plants. When we harvest grain, we kill those plants. When we eat a fruit we kill those seeds that will never grow. The very act of eating, chewing and swallowing, means we take the life away from what we eat.
And regarding reincarnation, I don’t believe in it.
Till your last post, take good care of you!
