“I feel overwhelmed with my thoughts.. I’m always thinking about other people and past situations when alone”- but it is natural, that is what the brain does, it thinks. And when you are not distracted, not focused on a task, not interacting with another person, your brain will think of people and past situations. Everyone’s brain does it. Even the best meditators, their brains wander too.

What is it that is recorded and stored in our brains? The past, not the future. This means that past memories will get activated and reactivated, not … future memories, such don’t exist yet.

Don’t be alarmed when your brain wanders, expect it to happen because it will. Because you don’t want to think so much, when you notice that you are thinking- distract, focus elsewhere. Then when you find yourself thinking about the past yet again, gently distract and refocus yet again.
