When you feel your anxiety level rising, take some action to lower it: a deep, slow breath, a walk (in better shoes), a hot bath, yoga type stretching, hot tea… something. Do something every time you feel it going up, something other than thinking, that is. Your best thinking is when CALM, so go back to calm before thinking.

Thinking Under the Influence of Emotion is ineffective.
