    Hello,

I am 21 years old and I have been in two relationships, neither of which has lasted more than a month or occurred in the past 3.5 years. When I started college I started having a problem of only falling for women who were in relationships. The first was a girl I met in my music theory class, I found out she was in a relationship pretty quickly but decided to be friends with her thinking I would be over her quickly becaise I has just met her yet it took me over a year. The next was a girl that was in almost all of my classes. I knew she had a boyfriend before I started to spend a lot of time with her but it still happened. And know I want to be with a different girl who is dating somebody. I am so sick of this happening and I just to find someone who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with them.

    Dear Brian Cyr:

When you feel an interest in a woman there is the possibility of a wonderful  love story to take place but also the possibility of a heartache. Or both. So better approach the woman (and these possibilities) with some caution. Gather information from the woman so to make the best choices you can make so to increase your chances for a love story and decrease your chances of a heartache.

One question to ask her is if she is involved in a relationship with another man. If she says she is otherwise involved, better make the choice to not pursue her further and to look for a woman who is not otherwise involved. With a woman who is  not in a relationship, your chances of a love story are greatly increased.

There are other questions, more information to gather before investing (emotionally and otherwise) in a particular woman.
