    I started working at this sales job a couple of weeks ago and what I do is I meet people at their homes to do presentations on what I’m selling and I try to sell to them.

    Today, something weird happened. I was at my clients home doing a presentation and when I finished, before I stepped out of the door she started talking about how she can read souls and that my soul was asking for help. To me this sounds like crazy lady talk. But then she went on talking about some trauma that happened in my childhood, about being betrayed by someone close to me. This was pretty accurate because my older sister used to abuse me when my father left to work. I tried running away from home so many times.This went on for several years and caused me to be anti social and have extreme low self esteem. But once I got into high school I started working on myself and the progress I have made is pretty good from where I once was. But I’ve always felt betrayed by everyone in my life; my parents, my siblings, and even the girl I loved who once was my girlfriend.

    So what I’m asking, can my soul be read?

    Yes and no, is my answer. Almost every person was betrayed as a child, and most often it is the parent/s that betray the child. So, yes, pain can be seen by a person who wants to see it. And there is pain in everyone, pain of betrayal. If you look around, you can see it in others yourself, in their eyes, the tension around their mouth, between the eyes, their posture, how they hold their heads, their bodies… are they looking at the ground as they walk, etc.

    Yeah i kinda figured. But besides that, she said she can help me be more confident and stuff. Do you think i should give it a try?

    Dear Name:

    You mean she wants to see you again for… a soul reading session? No, not a good idea. I am supposing she will charge you for it. No, I wouldn’t do it, same as psychic readings and such. If she is able to see your pain and has insight for you, she should give it to you right there and then, and not… call it a fancy name (soul reading or the like) and make an appointment, making it look … professional.

    No,I don’t believe we have a soul and the reading part is just guessing and “cold reading”.

    Hi Name,

    I would agree so far in that if she truly cared for you in that moment, there would have been something given to you beyond a promise of an appointment. Something perhaps that have helped regarding any healing that you may need, not leaving you with unknowns and more questions….

    Soul reading…. Interesting topic….. If this helps then great….. here is my philosophy around this….

    We are like conduits (think empty straws) in which universal energy travels through us. We have the ability to affect that energy, with thoughts, trapping the within ourselves, and this energy is carried with us. This is my understanding of Karma, where certain things repeat in your life. Healing is discovering this energy, and releasing it back, but redefining the thought that trapped the energy.

    Thoughts that trap energy are ones that move away from love (IE I am not worthy etc) and releasing thoughts are ones that move toward love (I am worthy). Healing is releasing the energy back into the stream of universal energy – otherwise know as love.

    Some people can ‘tap’ into this energy and help us find the trapped energy, and also help us to release them….. but ultimately, all your answers are within….. and the discovery only occurs when you choose to look within. Sometimes it is trauma the ignites the passion to heal, and other times it is simply a knowing to realise who you are.

    So – yes she may be able to read your energy, and help heal you….. emphasis on the help ,as the only person who can heal you is yourself.
