    What does it mean when your ex is telling his friends that we are “trying to figure things out”?

    i’m not sure how to feel about this. Is he playing with my heart strings or does he actually want to figure this out together. We have been together for about three years now, with a couple months break. He recently broke things off with me because he said I deserve better and he can’t give me what i want. When all i wanted was just for him to communicate with me.

    The title of your thread is “Ex confusion“- no one likes to be confused, and you said something on the matter in a previous thread, November 2o19:

    “The thing is I have so much difficulty with things that aren’t clear. I am a very black or white person..  I can move forward if I have some sort of direction but if I asked him for direction all I get is politician replies… I really don’t know what to do“.

    Fast forward almost 2 years and your now former boyfriend, soon after breaking up with you,  told friends that you and him are “trying to figure things out“. What he said isn’t clear to you, you are confused about it, and I am guessing that you don’t know what to do next, in which direction to go. Did I understand correctly, and if I did: in which direction would you like to go?
