Just a quick positive hello to everyone. Thanks for any advice, concern, smiles, or understanding you may have given me. Also for the privilege of learning from other post–and “applying when needed”

Also a post to give anyone else to say hello and recognize that our intent to be there for each other and yes sometimes make each other grin
    .
Now go back to eating your bacon, lol. I am having grits

    Thanks–Smiles

    Dear Seaisland:

I want it on the record that the current smile on my face is my first experienced smile today, Friday!

I will have oatmeal with (among other ingredients) cinnamon and lots and lots of cocoa.

I seem to remember you know all kind of tricks to use cocoa in foods-I, as a southerner, had never heard of. Well, I am jealous (in the healthiest kind of way) of your knack of getting chocolate in everything–and may I say also– how easily you talk about being able to meditate-even tho u admit it was hard in the beginning. I aspire to pick up on both.

    Hugs

    Dear Seaisland:

I will be more than happy to share my cocoa expertise with others who wish to maximize cocoa in their lives. Ask and you will receive my valuable cocoa knowledge and wisdom. Regarding meditating, I haven’t done guided meditation for ages but I do pay more and more attention (mindfulness) and it seems like there is no end (so far) to how much there is to be attended to.

    * Dear jock:

Good to see you here, as rarely as it is these days, no complaints though, better some jock than no jock at all!

And, jock, I’ve been reading your wise comments on the few threads and enjoyed them, Wise jock!

    Hi anita

there is the expression of “keeping up with the Jones” where you are jealous of what your next door neighbor has. (jones being a fairly common last name)
Slang for wanting what someone else has—-I want your hot cocoa, especially this cold morning. I am jonesing for delicious cocoa, I know you have it,anita-lol

    Dear Seaisland:

Thank you for explaining. If this means you want my recipes, I will be glad to repeat what I probably already posted about my cocoa usage: I use dark Hershey powdered cocoa (10 calories per tablespoon). The way I use it, I must give a warning: it is easy to unintentionally inhale the cocoa because it is dry powder, so one must be mindful to not inhale it (or smoke it, or inject it, or otherwise snort it, same as inhaling). My next instruction is to pour cocoa and mix it a bit or more, different degree of mixing, so you can have a strong taste of it when mixed just a bit. Next is keep an open mind, or a Beginner’s Mind about what to mix it with or add it to and mix just a bit. There are combinations I have discovered that were never tried commercially yet and that I never heard anyone stating they tried those. I don’t want to gross anyone therefore I will not mention some of my delightful-to-me combinations.

Suffice to say, my experience with cocoa is my personal experience and I do not want to inaccurately project my likes and dislikes onto others. As you can see the world of Buddhism, enlightenment and Cocoa are tightly related: Mindfulness not to inhale has to be practiced as well as a Beginner’s Mind regarding combinations as well as peeling off inaccurate projections and seeing the bare minimum of what is real-

And what is real is Cocoa. Enjoy it, Seaisland!

thanks –and yes I am the kind of gal you need to remind not to inhale

still have to remind myself to put the electric toothbrush in my mouth before cutting it on-to avoid splattering toothpaste everywhere

try to get salt on my food and not all around the outside of the plate

I had a friend who told me I would make a mess on a garbage truck.

sounds like the cocoa could help me with being mindful-besides being yummy
    talk soon

    laughing all the way
    thanks again
