    Hi guys,

Its been awhile since I posted about doubting where to go and what to do, having no purpose, having a very challenging romance and more crap. However, Im actually in a very very good place right now, and wanted to share that positivity.

I quit the masters that I did not enjoy in another country and moved home (best decision ever!), I booked a ticket back to Cambodia which my heart has been aching for since the day I left, im back at my old job and I find this very peaceful as I know my colleagues, know what to do and can safe up!, I signed up for a teacher course which I have wanted to do for ages, and I started volunteering for this local charity that sews dresses for kids in poor countries. In addition, I have let go of my fear regarding the challenging romantic relationship. Im just very grateful he is in my life, it feels good and I will see where it goes. The ups and the downs I take it all. I just took action on all the things I wanted and it feels amazing.

My current mantra: expect nothing, appreciate everything.

    Sending you guys love!

That’s great Therlie!  I’m glad you are in a good place.  Sometimes our expectations get the best of us.  I just read an article about how bronze medal winners in the Olympics are much happier than the silver medal winners.  Seems counterintuitive but it makes total sense – silver medal winners are depressed because they just missed out on a gold medal, while bronze medal winners are  happy and relieved because they have a medal!

I think going about life not bounded by our expectations of the future, and not baggaged by our past is the best approach in living in the present.

Best of luck in your new ventures!
