Okay, I will keep this as short as possible but I would REALLY appreciate some honest, constructive advice. I’m in my first year of university and September of last year I met a guy, he was very forward and flirted a lot when he was drunk, which put me off and made me think he was very arrogant. As the term progressed, I began to become good friends with him. One night, we ended up Kissing after he walked me home in the rain (opposite direction to his), he didn’t stay he had a 9.15 lecture the next day. But I began to see him differently. Again, another night out we kissed. At this point, we always still remained friends but nothing ever progressed. Christmas came, and I decided to bury my feelings. His friends would make jokes and comments saying he likes me and he used to be very persistent in trying to get my attention. Originally I had no interest but it seemed as though the more I became aware of my emotions, the less he showed his. We have such chemistry, the same humour and interests and my feelings are v.strong.

After Christmas, we kissed again and two weeks later … I stayed round his. For a few weeks our friendship was awkward inevitably but eventually this wore off. Our friendship is of course not the same but my feelings are still very strong. We don’t see each other as often as we used to, and we always miss paths. We don’t talk as much either. It’s now summer, but we live near each other so it would be easy to meet up. I can’t stop thinking about him.

When he’s tipsy, he says the sweetest things, but is this just drunk words? I haven’t felt this strongly about someone, it doesn’t feel over with him but I really don’t know what to do. When he’s sober, he’s quieter and he can be slightly introvert – you can’t push him to open up.

What do I do!? Have I missed my chance? Did sleeping with him drunk ruin it?!
