metal music I can appreciate the technicality and dextrousness and raw emotion of it – totally. It meets a need for some people. Nothing wrong with that

Personally I don’t have enough raw anger in me to relate to metal music. I have festering simmering viper pit of anger which bubbles under the surface and my musical ‘out’ would be the ominous music of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. otherwise I listen to atmospheric music – again you have different musics to suit different aspects of your soul and it’s needs.

I would wonder if just listening to metal would always keep the raw anger part of a person alive which can’t be a happy place forever, surely. I don’t know. But it would bake my head after a few songs.
