“I don’t just want John without any context for how he actually treats me and what our lives will be  together”- yes, quite insane, to want a person in one’s life regardless of the context, wanting someone no matter how it will  be, then trying  to change him and the context, or trying to change the couch into a bed (“don’t think a couch will stop being a couch when you get into a relationship”).

You are a sensible, reasonable, rational woman, Jenny Lynn.

The plan: maybe move out May, lose 60 LB by July, a test in Nov.

Dear Jenny Lynn:

Better continue to focus on you and your life, paying off the debts (big deal!) and losing weight, being in shape and as  healthy as you can be, working, making an independent  life for yourself- so much waste is  in relationships that don’t work out and there  are  so many of them, people invested in wishful thinking and delusions (that  the guy they were with and were  unhappy with,  will make  their  life wonderful if only).

Better look in the mirror and say, I am on my  own. Maybe some day I will find a  partner who will  work  with me, be part  of a win-win relationship that will add to my  life  (not subtract from).

Until then: how do  I  make  today  a better  day than yesterday, and tomorrow better than today.
