Hey everyone… new here. Going through some tough challenges – marriage related and thought I’d drop a note as I’ve read a number of posts about people facing similar challenges (disconnection). My question….
“How do you live with not knowing?”
I absolutely detest ‘uncertainty’. In almost all areas of my life, I’ll work to make the uncertain as certain as possible and then leave it alone to ‘let it be’
This marriage thing though is naturally incredibly high stakes… losing the love of my life, losing 50% of my time with the kids, and feeling not loved (TBH, I’m living this one).
I’m really struggling with it and as I’ve said to my wife, “How can I relax when so much is at stake?”
Don’t get me wrong, theres times I do relax with her and she notes that. But I’m on edge a lot and feeling like I’m in multiple cycles/infinite loops. We’ve been seeing a CT (4-5 sessions in) and I’m working on myself with a Psychologist
For those who’ve been through something similar, how did you live with not knowing? What helped, and what do you wish you’d stopped doing sooner?
