My sister-in-law is currently living with us for two months now and it seems like I have developed feelings for her. She, on the other hand, has a foreign boyfriend and doesn’t have any idea about me being attracted to her.  Her older sister, who is my wife, is busy on her work. She travels a lot and seldom comes home. My wife’s younger sister and I are the only ones left at home most of the time. I don’t know why I have developed feelings for her. Maybe because she resembles her older sister so much or I’m just really attracted to her. I don’t know what has gotten into me to feel this way.

    Dear Bob:

We feel what we feel; we don’t choose our feelings. So you feel attracted to your wife’s sister, doesn’t mean you have to do something about it. This attraction is not a … sign of sort that something needs to be done, that fate had put the two of you together, none of these things. It simply means that you have a feeling.

Your wife is absent a lot and that doesn’t work for you, maybe there is a way for you to not be physically separated, might want to look into that, how to make it happen.

You should stay away from home more often, or try to find some hobbies. They keep your thoughts away from her.
