Hi guys. I currently work full time at a historic theater as the event booking and ticketing coordinator. My time at work is spent mostly at a desk and, for the most part, is boring except when we have actual events at the theater (people come out all dressed up and I get to run the box office and see everyone). I have not been happy at my job for a while now. I have been working there since October 2012. It is in a great field seeing as I how I have a bachelor’s degree in entertainment industry management but I don’t see myself moving up at this company, I despise sitting at a desk, and I do not enjoy living in this city. I moved here for a degree, I got it, and now I am ready to move on to a city that provides more opportunities for advancement and, more importantly, stimulation and FUN (something this city lacks) I am now looking at jobs in Nashville but I don’t see much available in my particular field. I am willing to find a different kind of position in another field for a little more pay just for the sake of being in Nashville, honestly. I am tired of living in a college town and feeling so alone and stifled here. I can’t take it anymore. What would you do? Mind you, I don’ t have much savings yet, and I know I will need to stick around longer to save up. I am just looking for insight here bc there are a lot more like-minded people on this forum that in my “real life”. Thanks, guys!
