February 13, 2016 at 6:43 am #95936InkyParticipantHi Hareesh,
As we get older, no one cares or even checks into our degree…
For example, I spent a semester in Regents College… which no longer exists!! And my mom went to Smith… and that no longer exists either!
You can even say, “I went to so-and-so college which isn’t there anymore”. Or, “I went to a small college in New Haven.” 😉
Meanwhile, get a cheap degree online and puff up your resume with licenses to do different things.
Go onto forums and find out what the thousands of other students are doing in lieu of this news.
Good Luck,
Inky

This is bad news, that the university you attended and your education there got officially derecognised. I hope there is other value to your education there. Now this is the thing: some people give up, sink in depression and others get angry and get out of the swamp of depression. And maybe some sink and then… find their ways out.
Give yourself time to grieve the loss, the misfortune and when you spent enough time grieving it, get the fighting spirit in you- you deserve fighting for yourself, for your chances of having a good life!
This is bad news… and there will be more. But there are good news as well… and there will be more of those as well!
Please do post again!

February 14, 2016 at 3:24 am #95999HareeshParticipantdo you think that i will have a good life
February 14, 2016 at 9:41 am #96020AnonymousGuestDear Hareesh:
i think it is possible for you to have a good life. There is no guarantee. Lots of things are outside our power, like the fact that your university got derecognised. On the other hand, there are things you do have power over. To increase your chances for a good life, you can focus on what is within your power.
I think you believe in god. There is that Serenity Prayer. Are you familiar with it? Here it is from my memory:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference. The things you cannot change are the things you have no power over. The things you can change are the things you do have power over.
What do you think about my input here? Please do post again.

February 14, 2016 at 11:53 pm #96051OliverParticipantHi Hareesh, I created an account just to respond to you. The fact that your course is not recognized does not matter in the greater scheme of life at all, don’t worry about it. I never went to college and I own 3 of my own businesses that I started with zero knowledge except from research and learning that I did on my own on the Internet and I earn a very good income learning it on my own.
In no way does a piece of paper from an institution of higher learning effect the outcome of how your life is going to turn. How your life is going to turn out comes from the inside of you and not from any piece of paper that you have acquired along the way. The fact that you have done the work to get that piece of paper recognized or not means that you are truly awesome and will go far in life. So don’t put to much stock in any piece of paper that you may get along the way but believe in yourself and never give up your path of learning whether it’s recognized or not. These days with the Internet you don’t actually need to pay money to a university to learn things, your biggest task in life is figuring what you want to do in life and then doing the research and learning on your own to achieve it. Also if no one will give you a job for what you want to do then start your own business to do it yourself. History is rich with people who have had no formal education or certificates but only a desire to do it on their own.
So to sum up Hareesh, don’t put too much stock in certificates from higher learning institutions as there are so many people who graduate college and university with massive student loans and debts and never ever work in the field they studied in. The fact that you posted on here means that you care about your future and I know that you are a very strong individual and are going to go on to do amazing things in your life if you want to. Cheers.

February 22, 2016 at 7:59 am #96751AnonymousGuestDear Hareesh:
Failure can be a stepping stone to success if you learn something from the failure, from any experience, something real, true. And you choose your next move based on that truth that you learned.

February 25, 2016 at 9:05 am #97198AnonymousGuestDear Hareesh:
Life will change. Better be awake for the changes, see them, hear them, learn from them. Better be awake than asleep through the changes.
