    So, from my last post about leaving my family and going to live with friends in North Carolina, uh..

    Well, I’ve finally told my grandma, and it hurts to talk about because she always ends up crying. My mom just isn’t talking to me.

    in a moment of

    some informality;

    Dear Maria:

    You told your grandmother and your mother that you intend to move to North Carolina and they didn’t react in ways that encourage your idea of moving away. Does this mean that you abandon the idea of moving?

    No, of course not. It just, makes it harder. I’m hurting an innocent person in the process of leaving and it’s…hard.

    Dear Maria:

    Who is the innocent person you are hurting and what is the nature of that innocence?
