    Don’t underestimate the power of confidence. Yes we need talent and hard work helps a lot but confidence, believing in your own ability or the power of the universe to help you succeed. Believing that you are aligned with the stars and it is your destiny to succeed. look at successful people. often it was the mother who instilled that certainty in their child. Until the child thought “whatever I touch will turn to gold.”
    Example. I can play a bit of guitar and my singing ability is average. If I had a few lessons, I could improve and probably earn a few dollars busking on the street. But that takes guts. Foolhardy guts in my opinion.
    So how many people have succeeded because of sheer “I can do this” confidence. Lots I’d say. Lots.

    Dear Jack:

    I realized long ago as i pondered what makes some people succeed in the material world, I realized that it was LESS FEAR. Those with less fear of failure.

    Fear is what puts the foot on the breaks again and again. Intelligence, education, beauty, skill… these all come to a still when there is fear. The vehicle halts, will not move, no matter how fancy the motor, how luxurious, how …the foot is on the breaks and will stay there as long as there is fear.

    There is nothing more exhilarating than beating fear here and there, nothing fancy.

    I fear fear has controlled my life
    I fear other people the most
    Because I fear they have the power
    to make me more afraid
    Afraid they’ll see even more fear in me
    Than I see in myself

    Profound Jack. You are saying that you are afraid you are more vulnerable than you know you are, that you are weaker than you think you are…? Reality is the other way around, you are stronger and more courageous than you think you are. I’ve been trying to tell you this for a while.

    I think I wrote to you in the past that I SEE you. I believe I do. Really. I strongly believe I see a courageous Jack.
