Hi Danielle, As sad as you may be feeling right now about the change in your best friend, I think this is a good thing for you in the long run, if she’s not the kind of friend you’d want. Its good that her true colors are showing; but even better that you’re learning something from this experience. And you’ll grow from it, learn more about who you are. Stay focused on your dream!

I’m going throught the same thing!
I have this big dream of having an exchange year in US -I’m from brazil, btw- and last year I told my friend that I really wanted to go and how much it meant to me. Sadly, my dad could not pay for it (idk if you heard but we are in a bit of crises here in brazil). She is just like your friend: she wants, she gets. We’re really old best friends but she says things that are not supose to be spoken, things that hurt me. Anyways, you are probably not even goint to read this, but she is going this year to us for exchange and i’ve been crying all day. I dont know what to do and i feel like all of the hope i had (to have an exchange year) is gone.
I really want to talk about this.
