It’s not IF you had The Power,
it’s What Powers Do You ALREADY Have?
Let’s play a game, shall we 🙂
I am sure that most of us have wondered at some point about what our life would be like if we had a Superpower or Two… Right!? 😉 I know I have. And, in fact, I have spent a significant part of my life so far training, studying and testing myself in order to become a Superhuman, and I intend to continue to do that for as long as I am alive. The thing about having superpowers and being a superhuman, however, is that it’s not enough if you can’t use all of that to be happy!
So, what is this game all about? It’s about You and Your Powers. The goal of this game being to teach you about the Powers or individual strengths you already possess in order to help you to overcome your limitations, and to become happy and healthy! And everyone has their own limits. Even Superman does. But how is Superman able to succeed despite all of his flaws and weaknesses? By using his strengths, of course 🙂THE RULES:
#1)Learn your limits first. Most people have no idea what their strengths are. They might think they do, but research shows the opposite. Moreover, most people think they know their limits, but how can you really know them unless you’ve been thoroughly tested? Plus, even if you do know some of your limits and know that some of them are imposed on you since birth, it is very unlikely that you are aware of all the other ways your powers are suppressed by others (for instance in Smallville, Clark could not approach Lana Lang without feeling really awful simply because he did not realize that he was “allergic” to the piece of the meteorite in her necklace). So, what can you do to rectify all of that? Well, that’s a long journey, but you could always start by reading two of my threads on this forum titled OVERCOME YOUR DEMONS and STARSUCKS has you?
#2) Test yourself to identify your Strengths! There are many ways of doing that: like participating in challenges, games and using a personality assessment tool, or having a coach/trainer to test you. So, what can you do right here and right now? You can take one of the many scientifically constructed Personality Assessments available for free online like ViaCharacter, Myers Briggs Type or even something short and fun like the Enneagram Quiz.
#3)Learn to apply your Powers to achieve Health and Happiness for yourself and others! Even Superman took his time to develop and learn to control his superpowers with the help from others in some cases. Now, of course, you can use your powers for Evil (the opposite of Health & Happiness) if you choose, but that will only lead you to a life of loneliness and misery (so, I am not sure why anyone would want to be truly Evil, and I am pretty sure that the only reason Lex Luthor became evil is because he never played this game as a kid!). And the best way I found to master your own powers is either by helping others to master theirs or getting training and help from someone more experienced.
#4) Follow the Format! How will all of this look like in a game format? Well, first you can read the two threads I’ve already started, and then take one of those personality tests I’ve mentioned. After that, but before you post your own results, you need to:
A) Identify the strengths of the poster before you (just read, and try to understand what they mean);
B) Try to compare her or him to a superhero or a fictional character you understand very well;
C) Tell everyone how this person can apply their strengths to maintain and create more Health&Happiness in the world (and/or even for Evil, if you wish).
After you are done with that, post your results, and try to reflect on whether you resemble a superhero or a fictional character you know in any way (both strengths and limitations), and how you can use your strengths either for Good or Evil.
I am going to use myself as an example to explain how this can look like:So, let’s say that I am aware of my limitations (for instance, your bottom strengths in ViaCharacter identify your weak points), and I’ve read the DEMONS and STARSUCKS threads already, and I am posting after someone who has test scores like mine, which are as follows:
Top 5 strengths as identified by ViaCharacter are:
Character Strength # 1
Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence
Character Strength # 2
Love
Character Strength # 3
Fairness
Character Strength # 4
Forgiveness
Character Strength # 5
Love of learning
While Enneagram identified this person’s strengths as: relaxed, peaceful, harmonious, ambitious, driven, adaptable, energetic, intelligent, cerebral, questioning.
Now, my knowledge of the superhero lore is quite limited, but I do know a bit about X-Men and Ninja Turtles, and if I were to compare this person to a fictional character from those stories I could choose Prof. Xavier and Splinter, because I believe they can be very well described by all those strengths identified in those tests. And so, this person could apply their strengths in the same manner those characters have – identifying and training superheroes. Xavier and Splinter both have many limitation, but their greatest one is that there is only one of them and they are mortal. That’s why they identify and train more superheroes to help them and carry on after they are gone.At this point, since I’ve identified the strengths and possible limitations of the person before me I can proceed to post my own results, and try to compare myself to either superheroes or fictional characters I know very well, as well as try to think of the ways I can use those skills for either Good or Evil 🙂
I hope the instructions are clear enough for everyone. Message me if you have any suggestions on how to improve them!

Tried that myself and it absolutely nailed me……
Some words that describe you: principled, moralistic, perfectionist, self-critical, creative, unique, authentic, emotional, intelligent, cerebral, questioning.
…..I have no idea which Superhero/Villian that would relate to though! lol.
