Sorry it took so long for me to respond back.  Myself, my husband, my children and my parents have choses  not to attend any cook outs or friend gatherings if those two will be there.   I have chosen to distance myself from those type of people.   Come to think of it, Amy actually stopped talking to me and my family while in her presence ever since she met that guy.  I have chosen not to apologize.  Even before she met him, she was never a true friend to me like my child hood best friend was (now deceased).  So I have washed my hands clean of her.  My brother knows I will never speak to her ever again and neither will my parents after what was said about me and my boys and how that POS of hers’ got in my face like he did.   Even if I did apologize and attend parties where they will be, there still will be a lot of friction and tension in the air.  So its best  I stay far away.
