Feeling so lost I can’t seem to make my way clear of sadness, confusion in the past month
    1. Started a new job to get more $$. Horrible place and I am being excluded, went back to old work for some pre booked training sessions and feel excluded there now so feel on my own.
    2. Two family member die. Horrible impact on family
    3. Told I am broke no $$ living on oats for meals. Bad financial decisions on stock market
    4. Selling household items to pay bills, cancelling social events as can’t afford them e.g. Sports, lunches with friends, haircuts, cable, walking not taking the tube etc, therapist.
I wish I could re start the last 4 weeks and not changed jobs, so much regret, not had people die.
How did I see the bright side of life….

    Dear Trixie:

How did (do?) you see the bright side of life? Being alive, as you are now, not forever, but now, what does it mean? How does it feel to know you will not always be alive, that this being alive is temporary and one day you will be no more? That all you are experiencing now is temporary?

    Trixie,

I am sorry about all that has happened to you. Life throws curve balls at everyone. What’s happened has happened, so it is your reaction that counts. This might be easier said than done but you have to let go of the past. Our source of unhappiness stems from our attachment to things and personal events. Take a couple of deep breaths and affirm that the past has no control over you. Mind over matter.

You are worse off than me, having to sell stuff to pay bills but I can definitely relate to your job issues.
Didn’t Einstein say once to the effect “you don’t solve a problem with the same thinking that caused it”. Therefore you and I need to think outside the square.
I’d say time was up for both jobs so move on. Can you move location?
It is going to take some courage and determination for me to find and maintain suitable work. More prayer and meditation required from me anyway.

Meditation is free, so is walking. Journaling is another option. You could also spend time watching funny/happy/cute videos at the library. You could also talk to your friends, just spend a night in with friends can help.

Why do you feel excluded at your job? Parhaps you just need to find common ground outside work to talk about. If you work in a cubicle, put up stuff that makes you happy. [Pictures of loved ones, pictures that make you smile, your artwork, funny/inspiring quotes]
