Available Today: Ebook, Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace & Happiness

Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness is the ultimate guide of Tiny Buddha wisdom, based on some of the most popular posts and quotes from the site. You’ll also find 4 posts not previously published on

Through this eBook, I’ve shared myself authentically and vulnerably, and have also offered countless action-oriented suggestions to improve your state of mind, enhance your relationships, identify what makes you feel passionate and purposeful, and find the courage to overcome obstacles and seize your dreams.

These are my most popular, value-packed posts, as viewed by over 1.2 million readers in the last year and a half, hand-picked and edited into one easy-to-access PDF file.

10 Reasons to Buy Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace & Happiness

You may be wondering why you should purchase this eBook, considering that many of these posts are already published on

1. I’ve compiled and edited my most popular posts into one convenient resource.

I publish contributions from writers all over the world, but this eBook is a compilation of my personal best, as indicated through social networking shares and comment. If you’ve enjoyed the insights I’ve shared about letting go and embracing happiness, you may enjoy having them all in one place.

2. You’ll find a number of action-oriented solutions to the universal problems we all face, based in reality as it is.

As I mentioned last year in my talk at the Wisdom 2.0 Conference, I consistently leverage social media to ascertain what problems people are actively dealing with. Generally, they’re the same challenges I’ve faced and continue to face. We really aren’t all that different.

With every post, I’ve shared my own struggles honestly and offered realistic solutions, free from clichés.

3. You can print this eBook and access it anywhere.

If you want a little Tiny Buddha on the go or you’d like to read it disconnected from technology, this is a convenient way to access it.

4. You’ll find new content.

As you’ll see in the Table of Contents, I’ve added four posts that you can’t find on, including:

  • You Are Nothing (and That’s a Good Thing)
  • 10 Reasons It’s Awesome People Don’t Like You
  • Letting Go of Attachment: From A to Zen
  • You Say You Want It: So Why Do You Feel Paralyzed?

5. The ebook has an attractive design.

Joshua Denney who designed created a beautiful design, with dozens of color photographs.

6. Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness makes a wonderful gift.

If you’ve forwarded Tiny Buddha emails to friends and family in the past, they would likely appreciate reading the posts they may have missed.

7. I’ve priced the eBook to be affordable.

In my pre-release research, I learned that many people sell eBooks of this length and value for $27 or $47. Since I personally would not spend that much on a physical book let alone an eBook, I priced this as I found reasonable for a resource of this size.

8. I’ve consistently focused on honesty, authenticity, and integrity.

In running Tiny Buddha, I have received countless offers to monetize the social networking pages and this site. I have systematically rejected all of those offers, choosing instead to support the site with a select few hand-chosen sponsors.

The reader experience has always been my top priority with Tiny Buddha. You can trust that this resource will be worth the investment and more.

9. Buying Tiny Buddha’s Handbook for Peace and Happiness supports me and my continual work here.

If you’ve enjoyed Tiny Buddha, on Twitter since 2008 and on since 2009, this is a fantastic way to ensure the brand’s continued growth.

I’ve devoted thousands of hours and dollars to developing and expanding the site, throwing everything I have into my writing and editing, and regularly investing in new design elements and site features. I recently launched the Tiny Buddha quote widget, and I have plans to provide other resources and tools for happiness and mindfulness.

I by no means expect anything from the readers—this is a free site, and many of these posts already exist within the archives. But if you’d like to give something back while also receiving tremendous value, this is a wonderful opportunity to do it.

10. In reading this book, you will learn to:

  • Accept and love your authentic self
  • Depend less on external approval for happiness
  • Experience a greater sense of happiness in the present moment
  • Move on from painful events to feel joy again
  • Let go of negative feelings, attachments, fears, worries, and stresses
  • Stay present and peaceful, even when dealing with uncertainty
  • Create and maintain peaceful, loving, meaningful relationships
  • Deal with difficult or negative people
  • Slow down while still achieving goals
  • Find the courage to start pursuing meaningful work
  • Create and seek new possibilities for excitement and adventure
  • Overcome obstacles, mental blocks, and criticism to seize dreams

I am still waiting for my 92 Life Lessons that I was promised for subscribing to the mailing list.

  • You should have received a link in the list sign up confirmation email, but I just sent you an email with the 92 Lessons eBook attached. I used the email you used to post this comment, FYI.

  • Rochelle

Hi! Still waiting on my 92 Life Lessons for subscribing too!

  • Hmm it should be in your confirmation email. Emailed you a copy directly (to the email you used in this comment). Enjoy!

  • What a beautiful book! I eagerly bought a copy tonight for two reasons: 1) It will help my voyage back into a more spiritual mindset, and 2) I want to support Lori, her amazing writing, and Tiny Buddha in general.

I can’t wait to go to work on Monday, print it up, and bind it so I have a handy copy to read without having to lug around my laptop. 🙂

  • Thanks Thomas! I’m so glad you liked it, and I really appreciate your support!

  • Yvette Uhlmann

Was so hoping for a hard copy book.

  • I think I saw Lori mention that she’s working on a physical printed book for the near future… In the case of this book, I eagerly printed out a copy and bound it at work (I work at a UPS Store and we have a Unibind machine), so I have a nice, sturdy printed version to read. It was worth the effort so I can flop down on the couch and enjoy! 🙂

  • Thank you Thomas! Yes, I will have a physical book in stores at the end of the year. I’m sorry that this book isn’t available in hard copy, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

  • Elizabeth

  • Hi there,

Unfortunately, there will not be a hard copy of this particular book available. This is a compilation of the most popular posts I have written for the site, with 5 extra posts that have not been published here. This one will only be available as an eBook, however, I will have a different book available in hard copy at the end of the year.

    Thanks for reading =)

  • Dyanne Gavin

    Hi Lori,
I don’t have any credit cards anymore. I’m an unemployed CA school teacher. Actually, even a literacy expert. However, our budget only allows for inexpensive “newbies” right out of college. I’m really quite depressed but “Little Budha “always helps. Thanks for your lovely work.

  • Hi Dyanne,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been feeling depressed, but I’m glad Tiny Buddha has helped. I am going to email you, if that’s alright with you….

  • Dyanne Gavin

I would be honored to receive an email from you.

    Have a wonderful day =)

  • Joanne

will a hardcover/paper back be coming out soon?

  • Hi Joanne! This book will only be available as an eBook, however, I have a print book coming out at the end of the year: This book is called Tiny Buddha, Simple Wisdom for Life’s Hardest Questions, and though it isn’t available until December, you could pre-order it now if you’d like. =)

  • Joanne

  • Boalove

hi! This has become one of my favorite websites for inspiration, especially when I am feeling like the world is coming to an end for me.  Unfortunately, I am a pessimistic person. I don’t know why. I worry alot, i complain alot, and I get upset easily! i hope that with this website, it can change me to become a carefree, worryfree, happy person 🙂

  • I’m so glad! I understand that instinct to worry. If I don’t take the time to clear my mind through meditation or yoga, I worry excessively. It takes a very conscious effort for me to maintain a sense of inner calm. It helps me to remember that we are really quite similar. We all struggle with the same things, and we can all help each other if we’re willing to be honest.

  • Alexandra

it can only be sold in the US?

  • Hi Alexandra,

This is an eBook, so it can be sold anywhere. You receive it as a PDF file, through email. Let me know if you have any problems!

  • Summer

I just purchased your ebook and am excited to read it and take it all in.  At almost 40, I am finally working on & learning how to be me (figuring out who I am to start – and not shaping myself to what I think other’s expect or want).  It’s not an easy process, but the little successes I have had have made it all worthwhile.  Your website has been a huge help for this growth, thank you!

  • Thanks for the note, Summer! I’m glad to hear Tiny Buddha has been helpful to you. I find that I continually discover new pieces of what it means to really be me. It’s really helped me to focus on the process–that growth is an ongoing journey, not a destination. I hope you enjoy the eBook. =)

  • Summer

Lori, I’ve read about 1/3 of it already and love it!!  I had prevously read a few of the posts on here, but really like having it all in one place; kind of like a life manual.  I can’t wait to read the remainder of it and then go back through and read it all over again more slowly.  Thanks again for helping people by sharing your journey!

  • You are most welcome! Thank you for letting me know you’re enjoying it. =)

  • Stewart Young

Please  sell a Kindle version Please

  • I will look into that, Stewart!

    Hi Lori,

I purchased your book online (great read btw) and was excited to hear that you were coming out with another book — a hardcover one at that!

My question is this — is the book going to be similar to the Handbook for Peace and Happiness? Or are they different?

What is your second book more centered towards?

I am a little confused by this.

  • Hi Moh,

I’m so glad you enjoyed my eBook! My print book is actually quite different, although it covers some of the same ideas.

The eBook is a compilation from the site, so it’s collection of blog posts, as opposed to one cohesive text.

For the print book, I started by asking Twitter followers a series of “life’s hardest questions,” on topics including meaning, happiness, pain, fate, love, and more. The book includes roughly 200 of those tweets, along with personal essays from own experience and insights/tips to help people thrive, despite the uncertainty we live with every day. There’s a lot more of my own personal journey in there, and it’s much more comprehensive in exploring the various topics.

I’m really excited for the launch at the end of the year! I’ve never put so much time, energy, and love into any other project. I hope you enjoy it. =)

  • Moh-sin

    That was a swift reply!

I want you to know — I’ve already pre-ordered the book via Amazon.

God bless you Lori. Thank you for giving me the courage to face the challenges every new day brings. Now I feel ready to embrace the unknown, to delve deeper into myself — to bring forth the real me — the part of me arising from the combined unity of mind, body, and spirit.

I can only imagine what you must have been through these past years of your life in order for you to have written so much.

May you live long and prosper.

  • Algy Goosen

Hi Lori – I love your writings and visit your FB pieces often – thank you.  I’ve just tried to order your eBook online, but could you explain to me why the purchase page requires my full street address, plus postal code plus telephone number…  It’s an eBook which I download via the Internet no?  Surely if I enter my names plus Visa details plus E-Mail Address that should be enough information.  I sincerely dislike giving out information over the Internet which is not really required for the purposes of my electronic purchase.
    Thank you
    Algy Goosen

  • Hi Algy,

I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed Tiny Buddha! As far as entering your address, I believe this is generally required whenever you use a credit card online, as part of the verification process. If you were to purchase the eBook using your PayPal account, you would not have to enter your address.

    I apologize for the inconvenience!

  • Algy Goosen

I’ve decided to test the verification hypthesis, cause it’s interesting to me that some transactions over the internet don’t require anything else than my credit card details, so I tried my real E-Mail, real (full) names, real credit card info, fake address and fake tel # – didn’t work.  Then I entered my real address, but kept the tel # fake – bingo – that worked.  So the verification did require my real address, but the telephone # is not really required.  I’m very skeptical about giving personal details as you can see 🙂 – too many unsolicited phone calls for cruises to Alaska, E-Mails for Viagra and junk mail of all sorts thus far in my life.  Anyways, I got the book – thank you – looking forward to reading it.

I thought I was buying an actual book. I’m so dissapointed I have to be at my computer to read this!

  • Hi One,

I’m sorry for the confusion! I am going to be making my eBook available for Kindle soon, and I will happily send that to you when it’s ready. Other people have opted to print it out. Incidentally, I have a print book coming out in January: It’s called Tiny Buddha, Simple Wisdom for Life’s Hardest Questions–and you won’t have to read it at your computer!

Lori,  I would like a kindle addition of your book.  How soon do you think that can happen?

    Michel Colville

  • Hi Michel,

I am planning to make a kindle version some time within the next month. I will announce that as soon as I have it ready! =)

  • Wildheart

Lori, I thought your description was pretty clear that this is an “eBook”….the second paragraph states “Through this eBook…” and number 3 on your list talks about printing it out:
“3. You can print this eBook and access it anywhere.”

Thank you so much for making this information available….it’s something I really need in my life right now.  I really look forward to the Kindle version 🙂

  • Thanks Karen. I tried to make it clear to avoid confusion, but I know it’s still a new concept to a lot of people. I’m glad the site has been helpful to you. =)

  • Serene and happy….

Hi Lori, I have settled into my comfortable space where I do not stress, worry or complain, but many others around me are not accepting this, just today I was encouraged to participate in “what if’s’ and I refused. They did not look favorably upon this and I am not sure how to deal with these people. Do you have any suggestions on remaining in my inner piece while others try to drag me out?

  • Serene and happy

    sorry that should be peace….woops…

  • How wonderful that you’ve been able to eliminate stresses and worries! My best suggestion would be to set and maintain boundaries with people who may want to indulge in this kind of thinking. It may mean redirecting the conversation or even walking away. It may also help to remember that people likely aren’t trying to drag you down; they’re just struggling inside and looking for some relief by talking things through. I wrote a post a while back about negative people that may be relevant here:

    I hope this helps!

  • Hi Jennifer,

At the moment, this eBook is only available here as a PDF file. I am planning to release it in other versions at some point in the future. I will post an announcement on the site when I do!

    Happy Monday,

  • Jennifer

    thank you!

  • Hi Lori…

I want to add my voice to the appeal for Kindle version of your ebook. I’ll buy one when you publish it in Kindle form.

In fact, if you haven’t got someone else helping you figure out how to produce a .mobi version, let me know and I’ll help you figure out how. I played with the epub format enough to understand that the Kindle (and other ereaders) are only web browsers in disguise.

But then you probably knew that already and I’m just babbling, as usual.

  • Thanks so much, David! I have been holding off because I’ve been slowly revising my eBook for months, and I wanted to wait until I felt finished with that task–which I do now! I would love your help in making this happen. Could you please email me at email(AT)

  • Rhi

    Hi Lori
I just saw your website for the first time today and I love it, I am a very positive person and whole heartedly believe in the posts that I have read today and was so excited to buy your book. People I know cant fathom or understand why Im such a happy and positive person (but dont get me wrong we all have bad days) but Ive always seen being happy and positive as a choice. I could look at something and see the negative point of view and feel terrible or I could choose to take a lesson away from it and be positive. Its so hard to explain to negative people though and even though Ive bought a soft copy for myself I want to buy your hard copy book for a number of people.
Its so good to see like minded people!

  • Welcome, Ri. =) How wonderful that you have a naturally positive attitude. I’m sure you inspire and uplift everyone around you! At the moment, I only offer this eBook in digital form; however, I have a print book coming out on January 1st. It’s called Tiny Buddha: Simple Wisdom for Life’s Hardest Questions. If you’re interested, you can pre-order it here:
